BIKE TOUR
A number of cycle paths connect the so-called ‘City of Dukes’ to the environs, crossing open countryside, along winding lanes which follow old farmland borders, rivers and irrigation canals. To the north you will cross low glacial hills, topped by impassable wild forests, interrupted by orderly fields; to the south, river gorges are lined with poplars and wild shrubs. Everywhere, water and fields are tightly connected by an uninterrupted system of irrigation canals, ditches, bridges and river banks. Tours by bike or horse last a few hours at most.
